***CONTEST CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS***
As many of you know, I write two series of military romance (The Green Beret Series and The Soldiers of PATCH-COM). What you may not know is that before I began my career writing fiction, I worked as a journalist (both as a local stringer and online content contributor as well as celebrity interviewer). The best part about my job was meeting people and hearing their stories. I miss that and I'd like to reconnect with my inner journalist once again. That said, I would like to publish out a non-fiction book featuring YOU! Yes, you!
I want to hear your romantic tales about how you met your military man/woman. Who is he/she? Where and how did you meet? Was it love at first sight or did they grow on you? True love stories about our men and women serving will be like barbecue sauce for the soul (kind of a Chicken Soup/4th of July reference). The focus should be on HOW YOU MET AND FELL IN LOVE.
If you are interested in sharing your story, please submit it in 500 words or less to the email below. I will read them all and choose the best of the best, the Top Gun of military meet-cutes. Those chosen will be published (with written permission granted--details discussed with winners) with the author's name in the byline (just like a newspaper article). Winners chosen will also receive a copy of the print book.
Submissions should be a Word doc in 12 pt font. Times New Roman. Single spaced. Indented first paragraph. Submit to megwynn4153@gmail.com. Please place the words 'Book Submission' in the subject line. Submissions should be received no later than April 30th, 2020.
