Charity Book Supporting Literacy and New Library

As an author, I write because I love it. It's also a career because we all make our living somehow, and if we're lucky, we get to do something we truly enjoy. Still, it's always good to give back, and that's just what I've done in Tales and Poems from Universal City, Texas.

This charity book is a compilation of short stories and poems written by the residents of Universal City including the mayor, John Williams, mayor pro-tem, and councilmen also featuring published authors Brian M. Hayden, Crystal Faldalen, and myself, Michele E. Gwynn. Remember my sci-fi short, Synthesis, that I mentioned as being donated to a charity book? This is it! All proceeds, every dollar earned, will go toward a new library and fund its literacy projects for residents.

The book was born from an idea by Friends of the Universal City Library, a 501(c)3 non-profit fundraising arm for the library. And this weekend only, on its debut launch, the book can be purchased through CreateSpace (part of using the following discount code offering $10 off.

Dave Forrester, his mother, Lynda Forrester, and Texas native, Maggie Harris, described strange lights in the night sky, unexplained 'alien' abductions, and creatures reeking of sulfur. Officials out of Tulsa have confirmed similar events and missing people, but on a smaller scale relaying that all they have found of the missing so far are bloody clothes left behind where the persons were last seen....
